Hi, I got your message along with your friend request.  What kind of jobs would you offer?  I may have a part-time job with Panera Bread soon--but if that doesn't work I'd definitely be interested in what you'd have to offer--and thanks for being willing to help!

Thank you! I wish I could take more credit for my page. I'm sure I just picked a template, as I don't recall adding anything beyond a profile picture. :) Enjoy your technology break this weekend! And thanks for the reminder--I need one soon, myself. :) Cindy

Thank you so much Laura! Business is going very well. It is such a thrill to dive into the creative part of my brain and use the technical skills God naturally gave me to create lasting memories for others. It is so much fun doing what I love to do! Leaving the insurance world was a very hard milestone for me, but I have closed out that part of my life and am ready to accept whatever God has in store for me. I care so much for every one of my clients and want to continue to have a friendship with all, but some of those ties were not meant to be. I would love to get together with you if your busy schedule allows for it. Even just for a quick bit to catch up. I will also repeat your statement and say that I am so glad God made YOU!

Thanks for speaking this morning at the business school meeting with Christian business students! It was good to see you, to hear your story, and to learn more about Creative Company. I was inspired. Glad I could make it!

From "Hope No Matter What" - By Dove Award Winner and Author, Kim Hill

My long time friend and sister in the Lord, Diane Hanson sent this to me earlier today and I thought it might be more than beneficial to share it with others.  As you think about Christmas and navigating it if you're divorced - or if you know a family who is - this idea may be very helpful.  Christ has forgiven you and I for so very much.  The wisdom in her words as she approaches a very practical but challenging problem is evident.  I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did."The first…See More

Chazen Tour at Chazen Museum lobby

Thumbnail
October 30, 2011 from 12pm to 2:30pm
We will be meeting between 12 and 12:15 in the lobby to see the new addition to the Chazen. The docent tour begins at 12:30.  The tours are 40 minutes long at which point we will then explore and discover the museum.  The Wisconsin Brass Quintet will also be playing at the Chazen during the time we are visiting.  We should wrap up around 2:30 at the museum and then we will walk to Kabul on State Street for a shared meal or tea and coffee - whatever you're up for.  For directions to the Chazen,…See More

Counterfeit Gods

Intro to Counterfeit Gods I picked up Tim Keller's book, Counterfeit Gods on my way to San Francisco at the Minneapolis airport.  I had read half of it by the time I landed.   As someone who has had many idols - and some of those were ridiculously "good" ones - this book really spoke to my heart.   I have idolized my mother, my children, my home, my business, my clients, my colleagues and even my husband (when we were still married).  I put…See More

A letter from heaven

Dear Friend - I heard a story yesterday about a man who was a successful entrepreneur.  He built up a business and then one night there was a fire.  There was no insurance and he lost everything.  He went into a canatonic state for months looking inward.  Eventually, someone was able to…
