"I'd Rather Be Secured To The Rock, Than Free Climb Alone."

Friends,Have you ever hidden behind success? Success can be rewarding, an image building opportunity, more wealth, status and a way to keep climbing to the top.  Yes, the world will tell you this about success and from time to time we might get pulled in.  Sometimes we try so hard to succeed and the challenge becomes daunting, frustrating, fearful, empty, exhausting and precarious at best.  Yes, there we are alone; hiding our heads behind the dark shadow of what we thought would be success,…See More

Two Hands (55)

Friends,It is a rainy Sunday, September 25th and I'm siting in a comfortable chair, reflecting on days gone by.  I'm looking at my hands and see two hands that have done much over my life.  Two hands, that have played, created art work, worked with nature, teamed with colleagues, helped others, drove, held my wife's hands, held my two children, held my head in times of sadness and held them high in times of joy.  Yes, two hands with five fingers on each; pause to join and lock together to give…See More

Agreed.  It's a Faith walk for sure.  I 'feel' it's important to get this message out to men (and women).  Admit the conflict.  Know where your #1 and #2 is.  Then step off the rope and let Him catch you.…

"Signs" In The Rain

Friends,"Signs" are everywhere.  Stop, caution, yield, weave, merge and go!  Yes we see them all and pay close attention to them everyday.  Yes signs are everywhere, but the most important ones we sometime miss, even when they are right in front of us.Have you ever been at a crossroad in your life?  I was caught in the crossroad of a real struggle with people and a situation that consumed me.  The principle of the situation was one I could not control. Oh yes, I of course continued to struggle…See More

Success By World Standards or "By For Now"

Dear friends,In this world's standards for success I have to take a breath and share some false promises versus truth. I learned about the false promises of success through my brother, who passed away from cancer in 2006. By the world's standards he lived success as the professor of physics at Yale University, headed up research at Chicago's Fermilab and was recognized in the world science community for numerous publications. His "greatest" achievements, was his discovery that through the…See More

The warmth of the Holy Spirit - "Hot Chocolate Man"

Friends in Christ,Laura I am reminded and encouraged by your story of faithfulness.I thought I would share a story of God's Holy Spirit, that uses his people for others needs. It was about this time last year I was driving down Odana Way when I saw a homeless man.Continuing on I drove by him heading down Odana, going about my business.Something just kept speaking to me about this man.As I continued on I stopped to get a coffee at Starbucks west side. While standing in line, a long line I became…See More

A Cry For Help When Two Fears Collide!!

Friends,

I'm reflecting on ...

Fear is perhaps caused through a real feeling of what is out of our control.

I'm head on with the struggle of fear and find it to be confusing, tiring and a great distraction from all that really matters.  My boss is entangled in fear and brings it head on in displaced anger, with a self agenda aimed at my expense to take control and secure her future in the work place.

Two fears out of control have collided!!

I find my fear…

Happens time and time again in my life.  It simple to jump yet TOUGH to take that first step.
