History and Herstory

Earlier this year, it became really clear to me that I needed to organize my ministry work in a way that would help others to join me in creating real and lasting change. In doing so, I not only solved my problem but also created a solution for you and other marketplace leaders.

Some people have said Soul to Soul is like a Facebook for Christians and others have said it’s a great way to spread the word about upcoming Christian events. For me personally, it's also a way to be strengthened by other Christ-followers and to share what the greatest Christian leaders of our time have to say.

We went live with this web site in early in February but have moved slowly to insure that we have thought it through. For example, all of the blog posts are approved by me before publishing them. We did this to insure that the tone of the site stays positive and encouraging.

This ministry project has been funded by me and my company. Membership is absolutely free and always will be. Our hope is that eventually, it will be supported by paid sponsors. I’m still looking into whether or not I will create a non-profit or for-profit model. Even if it is a for-profit model, I will donate all profits to Christian ministries. If you have any insight or experience about these two models, I’d love to hear from you.

My faith is growing just from bringing this site this far. I honestly just keep putting one foot in front of the other working at it daily. I have been patient with it too - waiting to make sure that it works well and waiting for God to tell me to to start sharing it with others. The time has come. I'm looking forward to seeing what God does with this community. My personal prayer is that it will be a real blessing for everyone - especially those who are seeking. I hope that together, we will be able to provide answers - real honest answers to really tough questions - and that we will bring glory to our Father in heaven.

My children used to love "show and tell" at school. As far as that goes, I still love "show and tell". I would just encourage you to do both in this space - show and tell. Take pictures and share them. When you share a story about what God is doing in your life, add an image too. Some people online will only take a minute to look - do your best to capture what happened with an image too.

I'm so excited about what God has done already. Thank you for your interest. I pray that together we will tell such compelling stories that even those who don't believe will be compelled to read them.
