"I'd Rather Be Secured To The Rock, Than Free Climb Alone."

Have you ever hidden behind success? 

Success can be rewarding, an image building opportunity, more wealth, status and a way to keep climbing to the top.  Yes, the world will tell you this about success and from time to time we might get pulled in.  Sometimes we try so hard to succeed and the challenge becomes daunting, frustrating, fearful, empty, exhausting and precarious at best.  Yes, there we are alone; hiding our heads behind the dark shadow of what we thought would be success, dare we slip and make a mistake.  I have attempted to freely climb toward success alone, with dying results from my efforts.  Now my climbs begin secured to his strength; working hard and being content with my efforts, because success is not what I do alone.  Success is a gift from him.  The drawing below, I did 38 years ago now hangs in my corporate office, a reminder of failed success and a clearer picture of the gifts he has given me.
